This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed when you use the Flag Battle mobile app (“the App”).
The controller responsible for processing your personal data is:
AlexJKL Oy (Finland) Email: support@alexjkl.fi
The App does not require an account and stores all your content (selected countries, battle names, settings) locally on your device.
The App uses the following services, which process data such as device identifiers (advertising ID, installation ID), IP address, device and OS information, and app or ad interactions:
Ad networks act as independent controllers for the data they collect, or, where their terms provide so, as joint controllers with us (for example, Pangle under Art. 26 GDPR for certain processing). Their privacy policies linked above describe their processing in detail.
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Personalised ads | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) |
| Non-personalised ads and ad measurement | Your consent or our legitimate interest in funding the free version of the App (Art. 6(1)(a) or (f)), as shown in the consent form |
| Premium subscription | Performance of a contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Crash reporting and app configuration | Our legitimate interest in keeping the App stable and working correctly (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Usage analytics | Our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the App (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Measuring our own advertising campaigns (Apple Ads attribution) | Our legitimate interest in knowing which of our ads bring users to the App (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Answering your messages | Our legitimate interest in responding to you (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the App asks for your consent through Google’s consent form before personalised ads are shown. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time in the App under Settings → Ad privacy options. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.
On iOS, personalised ads also require your permission through App Tracking Transparency, which you can change in the iOS Settings app.
Some of the services above process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States (Google, Unity, Liftoff, RevenueCat) and in Singapore and the United States (Pangle), and their group companies and service providers may access data from other countries. Such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified under it, or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
To exercise your rights, contact us at support@alexjkl.fi. Because most data is processed by the services listed above under device identifiers we cannot link to you, we may need to direct some requests to those services. You can also contact them directly through their privacy policies.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work. In Finland, this is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
The App is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the age of digital consent in their country (13–16 in the EU). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, and the “Last updated” date shows when it was last changed.
